mission

BF Enterprises is the name I gave my pseudo-consultant firm when I first started doing extra projects outside of my masters program to improve my skill set in data analytics and science. I needed a way to show case my work and to be able to articulate my abilities outside of my resume. I’ve done projects for non-profits in addition to small businesses. I want to employ my skills to enable companies to gain insights from their data in order to further their business agendas. I’ve showcased three projects here that I’ve worked on from whiteboarding to implementation.

Experience

I spent over three years in the oil and gas industry with leading companies like Schlumberger and Baker Hughes. During this time, I gained extensive experience in energy-related projects. However, when the pandemic hit, my entire department was eliminated, prompting me to rethink my career path.

Seeking new opportunities, I decided to pursue a Master of Science in Analytics at Texas A&M University. During my studies, I participated in two national data science competitions, where my team placed #8 in the Humana Data Science Competition.

During my Masters, I transitioned to a role with the sales analytics team at Service Corporation International. This was a significant move for me, as I left the oil and gas industry to focus on applying my analytical skills in a new context. My role was dynamic, involving both the management of a team of contractors and the development of predictive solutions for end users.

More recently, I returned to the energy sector as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer. In this role, I work closely with stakeholders to deliver tailored BI solutions. This position allows me to leverage my analytics expertise while reconnecting with the energy industry, providing innovative solutions that drive business value.
